The On Site Repair Coordinator will manage all aspects of Machining / Welding in Field (OSR) jobs.
Essential Responsibilities
In addition, you will:
Support Region Repair Leader in ‘roving’ coverage of on-site repairs jobs
Assist in more in depth research on up front planning of jobs, i.e. Drawings / WI / Data Forms
Initial onsite “kick-off” person with WLs and FEs to ensure tools, consumables, and other items needed are present or properly planned for
Be the first line of communication with WLs onsite
Rotate to projects within the assigned areas to ensure project progress & continuity
Mobilize to site with problems to get projects back on track
Close out projects to ensure documentation gets into job folders
Ensure adherence to OneGe Plan
Provide on-site repairs progress updates to PGS customer team and Repair Leader
Be proficient in all aspects of the OSR service offering to be able to, independent of outside supervision, complete assignments to the satisfaction of the customer
Provide technical direction to those performing the work on Customer sites in line with technical requirements. Provide guidance/leadership on crew duties and assignments such that the project is completed in a safe manner with quality results within the schedule allowed
Ensure OSR EHS Rules are reviewed and understood with crew prior to starting work
Represent OSR for Product Line Technology initiatives and champion the development of new Processes & Procedures that will drive measureable VCP benefits
Act as OSR Project Manager for larger scope repair outages, tracking all aspects of the Project execution; labor, logistics and tool rental
Familiarize with welding and all types of turbine repairs
Minimum of 10 years of Field Service Repairs Experience
Have Daily Tool Box Talks to address any safety issues that may arise and should include Site EHS Manager
Ensuring Safety Champion has time allotted to complete his inspections / paperwork
Communicate EHS concerns / ideas via Weekly Safety Calls
Qualifications/Requirements
High School diploma / GED
Minimum of 5 years of experience in GE Steam Turbine Technologies
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Ability and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally with no restrictions as required
Ability and willingness to gain access to, maintain and work in Nuclear Power Plants and Countries other than US as required
Ability and willingness to work overtime and 2nd shift as required
