Open Text Application Engineer provides software application support for the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) existing Corporate Document Management System (CDMS). The Open Text Systems Application Engineer provides a combination of both technical and functional services including end-user support, project documentation development, application training, and application quality control and monitoring. The Open Text Application Engineer will serve as the lead over many project tasks including the critical function of translating NAVSEA’s policies and business rules into system’s functional requirements and design.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Strong Open Text Livelink experience including advanced collaboration functions including Workflows, LiveReports, Records Management, Archive Server, and Search.
Good knowledge of lifecycle development methodology including CMMi and Agile technics.
Livelink Records Management and/or Archive Server highly desirable.
Strong communication background related to the development of Federal Government project deliverables.
5+ years experience with Open Text Livelink v9.7.1 or higher.
5+ years supporting government enterprise content management projects.
Computing Science degree, B.Sc. or M.Sc. or comparable education. Non-computing education may be substituted with documented relevant experience of working in similar role for a production / operations facing IT organization.
Active Secret security clearance.
High accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills. Must have the ability to effectively balance multiple strategic tasks simultaneously and prioritize them to meet deadlines.
Must be able to work independently and in groups.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Examples of original written communication must be provided.
