Development and monitoring of process control standards and procedures.
Investigation into customer and internal quality issues and resolution of issues.
Lead efforts to reduce cost and yield losses through process improvement plans.
Development, communication, and documentation of corrective action plans.
Provide technical expertise and investigation into issues affecting productivity, quality, yield, or cost.
Evaluation of new processes and equipment.
Promote a positive work culture by being a role model for communication, safety, teamwork, and education.
Technology assessment, benchmarking, developing and implementing improvement projects.
Project documentation and communication.
Provide technical training and day-to-day technical support for operations.
Scope of the position:
This person will report to the Operations Technology Manager and provide engineering insight on operating and quality issues created by production. Individual will drive improvements for portions of the facility. Achievement of Hot Dip Galvanizing Line Improvement Project goals and Key Performance Indicators, enabling achievement of Business Plan and MRF goals for safety, environmental compliance, quality, reliability, productivity and cost, improvement of capability of HDGL facility through technology, and coach and mentor employees.
Quality Engineers, Maintenance Project Engineers, Suppliers, Process Technicians, Union officials, Production Supervision, Environmental & Safety Engineer, Information Technology and Process Automation Manager, Maintenance Manager and Operations Manager.
In addition to the functions of the job noted in the Job Description shown above, this job also includes reporting to Management the progress of projects.
Two (2) years of experience in operations, technology, quality or engineering area.
Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees.
Strong leadership and team building skills.
Experienced in working in heavy industrial environment
Advanced written, verbal, presentation skill are required
Knowledge in database management and MS Office.
Education Requirements :
- Five (5 ) years of experience in operations, technology, quality or engineering in Hot Dip Galvanizing Operations · Proven ability to work effectively and in a leadership or team environment with all levels of employees. · Experienced in working in Iron Producing like environment · Proficiency in database management and MS Office.
Preferred Education Requirements:
- B .S. in Metallurgical, Materials Science, Mechanical or similar Engineering degree.
- M.S. in Metallurgical, Materials Science, Mechanical or similar Engineering degree.
