CAREER OPPORTUNITY The Process Excellence Manager will serve as the local Mebane champion for the systematic application and deployment of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies at our Folding Carton manufacturing facility. Key areas of focus are problem solving, process improvement and driving expansion and institutionalization of these concepts at the plant level. HOW YOU WILL IMPACT MWV As a member of the Plant Manager’s team, you will be responsible for project leadership across a range of plant operational activities. This entails successful management of 2-3 concurrent projects as well as the plant diagnostic and implementation process to support our productivity initiative. You will also be expected to provide local leadership in developing a data driven, process focused approach to problem solving and train team members on these concepts.
Preliminary project assessment, development analytical/problem solving plan.
Implementation of project plan. Data gathering and analysis using six sigma tools, concepts and methods. Identification of process improvements/problem solutions/cost reductions, utilizing DMAIC process.
Preparation of project reports and presentation of project results. Implementation of agreed upon actions. Continued project championing to institutionalize changes.
Development and delivery of training. Training may be necessary to support successful project completion and/or for institutionalization of six sigma concepts.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Bachelors degree in business or engineering related discipline
5-7+ years of process improvement leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Six Sigma Black Belt certification strongly desired. Will consider equal years of experience in related process improvement methodology.
Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) as well as project management software.
Demonstrated ability to lead and create positive change.
