Develop and maintain department and research budgets; assist in long range budget projections in support of the vision and goals of the department and Chair. Manage key administrative operations for the department including budgeting, payroll, and human resources. Maintain internal systems for tracking revenue and expenses. Supervise clerical and student workers. Serve as administrative initiator in AP Workflow. Oversee events, including conferences, lecture series, talks, roundtables, etc. Provide individualized post-award support to departmental faculty and doctoral students.
Min. two years of administrative experience providing support for office operations; managing budgets and monitoring expenditures; events planning; and serving as administrative liaison with other organizational offices at all levels.
Experience in a university or college setting.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):
Excellent organziational, written, and verbal communications skills. Proficiency with various computer applications, especially Excel.
