Team provides a full and dedicated support to the Financial Markets business. The nature of this support requires strong multi-faceted individuals who are able to understand the lifecycles of the products traded and the systems and reporting mechanisms required enabling full control, accurate and appropriate information to be supplied. The individual will be required to establish close working relationships with Front Office and Support Staff (e.g. Credit, Finance, Market Risk, Legal and IT).

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required

Detail oriented with high degree of accuracy in all duties

Highly organized and adept at time management

Ability to excel in a stressful environment

Ability to properly prioritize and manage several competing initiatives while meeting firm deadlines

Strong team player willing to assist peers in achieving team goals

Experience in LoanIQ system design and implementation.

Responsibilities

Technical and Banking Knowledge

Technical, analytical and market knowledge

Ability to analyze and explain daily reports - determine reasons for change in Risk and P&L

Ability to understand and assist co-workers with booking trades for derivative products such as:

  • Interest Rate Swaps & Forward Rate agreements (FRA’s)
  • Options & Swaptions (Caps, Floors, Digital and Bermudan options)
  • Exotic products (Range Accruals, Spread Options) (preferred)
  • U.S. Treasury & Agency securities
  • Futures, Options on futures
  • Foreign exchange and Forward FX
Ability to understand and set up static data required to support Interest Rate Derivatives business:

  • Yield Curves, Pricing Models, Option terminology
  • Ability to read through and understand term sheets and confirmations created for each structure
  • Understanding the cash flows of the business and ensuring they are properly funded
  • Understand System P&L process and basic P&L decomposition for products and systems used
  • Understand elements of infrastructure groups (Finance, Market risk, Credit risk, Operational risk, Legal,
Tax and Compliance

Control Function:
Ensure timely validation and affirmation of all trades in the business

Responsible for integrity of curve data, pricing of instruments, trade booking, trade maintenance and reconciliations

Reconciliation of system P/L to flash P/L

Completion of EOD process including completeness and reconciliation checks

Analyze trading patterns/behaviours to support business and identify/escalate fraudulent or unusual trading activity

Contribute to documentation of all new products or structures relating to the area (including NPAPs)

Trade Support and Customer Service:
Liaise with trading floor to ensure timely and efficient resolution of trader queries

Seen as valued advisor and technical expert

Support and enhance external customer relationships

Ensure appreciation of different support requirements for Traders, Salespersons, and infrastructure

Projects and improvements

Work hands on to develop new systems and process solutions where gaps are identified
