JOB SUMMARY: The Princeton Review is looking for a part-time office assistant to work at office and classroom center in the DuPont neighborhood of Washington, DC. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to learn quickly and communicate effectively with an ambitious client base. The candidate would be a self-starter with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and be able to work with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment. Hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 2pm to 7pm ABOUT THE PRINCETON REVIEW: Founded in 1981, The Princeton Review ( www.PrincetonReview.com ) is a privately held education services company headquartered in Framingham, MA. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Serve as first contact for students and parents
  • Take phone calls, speak with walk ins, and answer email inquiries
  • Address student concerns and correspond with students as needed during courses
  • Monitor course attendance and test taking; address problems as needed
  • Discuss our courses and products with students and parents to aid in enrollment and admissions process
  • Manage administrative functions of office (e.g., unload materials and check against packing lists, order office supplies, check voice mail and route messages, make sure classrooms are in order)
  • Perform other duties, including data entry and filing, as assigned


  • Requirements:
    QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Professional telephone skills and ability to answer multiple line phones 2. Strong and courteous written and oral communication skills 3. Superior organizational skills and attention to detail 4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel is required 5. Prior experience with Microsoft Access or other database preferred 6. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple deadlines 7. Prior customer service is required; prior experience in the education industry or in a luxury service organization is preferred EOE
