In order to prepare for the growth of our organization, operations must execute flawlessly using the most efficient and cost effective processes that scale to the company’s needs. The business analyst must work simply to improve the business in all possible ways, using a mix of analytical and design capabilities to drive change and improvement. The best candidate will be able to ascertain the true needs of the business and drive methods for meeting those needs. He or she will be able to transfer input from across the functions into usable data and information for needed projects, and present in an easily understood projected vision to be implemented.

Metrics and Analysis

Using current models and reports, provide accurate distribution of key performance metrics
Create dashboards and presentation packages for communication to key stakeholders
Research data sources to develop metrics for monitoring and proactively improving operations business; develop quantitative operational and budgetary models as needed
Translate data into meaningful information, to drive decision making, automation and process improvement, and uncover performance opportunities
Drive automation of routine data collection and develop reporting processes that aid operational performance management
Create, conduct and report audit surveys

Process definition, design and Improvement

Define and document existing and new operational processes - create process flows ('as is' vs 'to be')
Clarify process objectives to ensure value of activity, and ensure productivity and efficiency
Ability to build business case for prospective changes, tools, etc.
Key liaison with software product managers to request tools, provide use cases, test applications and implement software benefiting operations and key stakeholders
Develop recommendations to solve problems and issues related to operations and key interface groups
Identify time to execute, touch time and elapsed and recommend opportunities to eliminate waste
Find opportunities to change by working with each team member to identify issues in their area
Understand cost of process, and where there are opportunities to shrink
Make recommendations for process and operational solutions to improve metrics performance

Requirements

BA/BS degree
3-5 years of relevant experience, with focus on some/all of the following:
creating and coordinating technical and business requirements for processes, projects or procedures
working with business users and technical staff to develop strategies for potential system support/tools
process re-engineering
metrics modeling
Ability to process map and document findings
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Effective communicator and collaborator across multiple levels/functions
Strong Office Suite, Visio or Google Suite proficiency and good presentation layout design skills
Ability to perform statistical modeling/analysis in Excel and other modeling programs
