The Operations Consultant role is responsible for supporting the contracting and appointment requirements for our distribution customers across all Sun Life business lines (Group, Voluntary, and In-Force Annuities and Life Insurance). The Operations Consultant works very closely with the Licensing, Commissions, and CRM Data teams, as well as the Sun Life Distribution, Compliance, and Service Center units, in an effort to provide exceptional service, synergy, and data and budget analysis to the area.
Main Accountabilities
Demonstrates mastery in Licensing administrative systems, controls, and procedures
Serves as liaison with other Sun Life Operations areas, such as Commissions, CRM Data, and Waterford Licensing teams
Represents Licensing team through active participation in strategic and tactical project planning of enhancements in technology and distribution support
Evaluates, develops, and implements Licensing team business processes and innovations
Ensures processed information is in compliance with regulatory and departmental guidelines by interpreting and remaining current on changing state legislature
Maintains department's appointment fee budgets and bill payment responsibilities, forecasting and analyzing impact of business processes and regulatory environment
Facilitates state regulatory agency appointment reconciliation efforts and internal control reporting
Assists in oversight of the department's overall regulatory and financial risk management, and maintenance of its producer data integrity
Provides management with monthly performance, risk, and budget analysis, reporting, and presentations
Communicates effectively and timely with colleagues, management, and internal/external customers alike
Background in Customer Service and/or Operations, 3-5 years preferred
