Operations Coordinator
Location: San Francisco, CA

You are a natural self-starter, have an unnatural attachment to your
color-coded organization system, and love calming chaos with
structure. You're flexible and cheerful, and approach problems with
persistence and a certainty that you can fix anything. An obsession
for details, the ability to anticipate problems, comfort with
ambiguity, and a collaborative work ethic are critical in this role.
The Operations Coordinator will support our growing company by
completing a blend of special projects and operations work. You will
provide support to the company’s executive team. The ideal candidate
will care deeply about making an impact in the developing world, and
will want to grow with our company. From your vantage, you will see
the operations of a multi-national company and help shape it by being
right at the forefront of its growth. We will provide professional
development and a leap into other opportunities in our company.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Drive and participate in a variety of special projects to support
the executive team

  • Assume a proactive role in increasing the efficiency and
organization of the executive team

  • Manage relationships with vendors and process orders for marketing
merchandise, office supplies, and technology

  • Provide exceptional customer service to job candidates, visitors,
external partners, and staff

  • Participate in the hiring of new staff members
  • Welcome and train new staff members on office systems, technology,
finance, and culture

  • Support the team's productivity and wellbeing; this includes
proactively bringing structure and innovation to the office's
organizational systems, physical space, technology, resources, and communication

  • Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings,
maintaining calendars, arranging travel, managing correspondence,
tracking expenses, paying bills, and processing payroll and reimbursements

  • Coordinate logistics, draft agendas, provide advance materials,
and execute follow up for meetings


  • Zero to three years of work experience
  • Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to
prioritize actions

  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced
environment, and to juggle several projects at once with a spirit of
flexibility and positive outlook

  • Ability to write and communicate verbally in an effective and
compelling manner

  • Passion for making an impact in the developing world
