Position Purpose:
This position will be responsible for developing, implementing and operationally managing the Clinical Research Unit (CRU) and ensuring the delivery of high quality clinical research services to all investigators, study teams and patients using the unit.

Skills & Knowledge:
Thorough knowledge and understanding of clinical research, research protocols, and clinical operations. Knowledge of GCPs and federal regulations related to human subject research. Knowledge of patient privacy and confidentiality regulations and policies. Maintains extremely professional standards handling highly sensitive and confidential issues. Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of budgeting and cost analysis. Strong customer service skills. Ability to manage a team of professionals. Ability to maintain meticulous study records, laboratory data and other information related to research protocols. Ability to manage complex schedules and competing priorities.

Minimum Experience:
Five years of relevant experience in clinical trials research support. Experience with industry sponsored, federally sponsored, and investigator initiated clinical research. Experience with clinical trial budgets and billing.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree, or the equivalent.
