Job Information

Representative Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for daily warehouse and facility operations. Position will have broader management responsibility for both warehouse and trucking operations, to include facility oversight and security, daily warehouse operations, customer deliveries, maintenance, equipment, yard personnel, truck drivers, and related administrative duties. Supervise and/or administer the location safety programs, day-to-day safety and security awareness, and compliance to DOT, hazardous material, MSDS, and OSHA regulations. Assists in planning and implementing location goals, PPR process, budgets, expense controls, customer relations activities, total quality, human resources training activities, inventory management, and monthly yard meetings. Level depending on experience. Supervises employees, sets job expectations, and is accountable for results. Conducts personnel actions, including hiring, salary actions, and termination. Employee receives infrequent, generalized direction pertaining to definite objectives.

Responsible for demonstrating a commitment to the process of continuous improvement, identifying and responding actively and with sensitivity to the needs of internal and external customers and be open and responsive to change.

Basic Qualifications : Requires two-year technical education or college degree; or a high school diploma (GED) and a minimum of five years operations in a warehouse/yard environment and safety coordination experience. Skill requirements include leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and good interpersonal and verbal/written communication. Require ability to use computer software applications necessary for performing job responsibilities. Microsoft Office Suite, Internet navigation and Windows based software.

Preferred Qualifications : Requires knowledge of a specialized field, such as building materials, transportation, warehouse, or management, and industry practices and procedures.
