Provide management support to the USSC Distribution Centers, assuring that all departmental safety, service, quality and financial objectives are met or exceeded. Demonstrates leadership in creating a positive productive work force. Lead a successful and cohesive work group by demonstrating true commitment to continuous process improvement and inspire and motivate staff and promote a positive employee relationship. Direct business processes to receive, store, process, and ship product timely and accurately to customers while optimizing operational results. Analyze performance data for the purpose of driving key decisions around service, operations and overall logistics. Facilitate and encourage continual improvement processes focused on making the operation more effective and flexible. Set and meet SMART goals for key result areas utilizing data. Initiate and lead projects to improve the operation utilizing project management tools. Execute against department, facility and corporate goals identified on business and action plans and ensure high level of accuracy and timeliness. Simplify the work, minimize errors, and involve employees from all levels in the improvement processes. Select, motivate, develop, and evaluate department management and associate team. Specific activities include recruitment and selection, person to person developmental and coaching discussions, performance reviews, salary administration, professional/managerial training, HRP implementation of managers and including CFE administration. Ensure consistent high-quality leadership of associates by management team. Communicate the business of our operation to lead and influence the input/output of 2-8 exempt level managers and 40-150 full-time employees. Build and maintain interdependent relationships with peers and all functional areas within the facility (operations service, systems, facilities, etc.) Initiate cross-functional improvements, provide feedback, and help other areas as needed. Actively contribute to the distribution management team by assisting in the development of distribution goals and objectives, working effectively across departmental boundaries within the operation and manage the overall shift and departmental production/efficiency goals. Develop the annual departmental budget necessary to achieve the targeted goals while aggressively pursuing the high standards of Customer Service. Accountable for achieving annual operating budget. Support NIKE distribution facilities worldwide with resources, consulting, and benchmarking.


Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business management preferred. Minimum of 5 years operation management experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of automated distribution systems. Experience with budget management and accountability. Strong project management skills in order to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Basic PC skills. Strong analytical and innovative skills for strategic planning, sound decision-making, and problem solving and ability to work well under tight business driven deadlines. Outstanding leadership qualities. Ability to handle confidential matters in a professional manner. Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills, ability to lead other and influence at various levels of the organization. Proven track record of understanding and fostering a diverse workforce. Detail oriented. Ability to embrace and promote other ideas. Ability to motivate and stay focused. Ability to work effectively on a team. Ability to work over time with little or no advance notice, staying over or coming in for meeting, ability to access all areas of the warehouse, including second and third levels. Visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision. Auditory ability to receive verbal communication.
