GENCO has an immediate opening for an Operations Manager to work at our multi tenant facility located in Lemoyne, Pennsylvania. This facility is a 490,000 square foot building, operating a variety of shifts cover 24 hours per day 5 ½ days per week.

The Operations Manager position is responsible for managing the operation on a daily basis and the management of personnel and physical resources to achieve the Team and Facility key performance objectives, while maintaining contractual service level and adhering to Company Standard Operating Procedures and Policies. This facility has a variety of different customers with multiple profiles to include; each picking, case picking, full pallet picking, E-Commerce business, kitting and many other value added services. Manage and motivate the team by giving direction and leadership, monitoring performance to ensure the facility achieves high performance levels for the purpose of ensuring the provision of an effective and efficient quality service to our customer.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Commitment to Continuous Improvement through LEAN initiatives

Planning and scheduling all distribution services including receiving, storing, picking, shipping, handling returns, E-commerce and maintenance activities to ensure our customer’s requirements are met in an efficient manner

Meeting/exceeding budget and P & L

While using Easy Metrics LMS review and approve all labor plans

Review and approve long-range labor needs based on sales, forecast and input from the multiple customers

Monitor and manage the operational performance and KPI’s. Communicate results with management personnel and drive performance

Lead all culture building initiatives and facilitate ongoing implementation through management personnel by way of proactive communications and leading by example

Interact daily with onsite customer

Oversee the completion of timely wage increases and performance evaluations

Lead the facility team in aligning Core Excellence Compliance in day to day standard work


Education and Experience Requirements:
A university degree or college diploma in supply chain and logistics, business administration, commerce or other related field; or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience

Five (5) plus years supply chain management experience, preferably in the retail industry

Five (5) plus years experience in a logistics environment utilizing WMS and RF technology

Three (3) plus years experience managing full P&L

Three (3) plus years experience implementing continuous improvement programs

Ability to interact effectively at multiple levels, in support of our customer relationships

Demonstrated ability to maintain effectiveness within a dynamic and fast paced environment with strong focus on meeting/exceeding established metrics and responding to changing demands

Strong analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, planning & organizational skills

Excellent communication and presentation skills

A proven track record of mentoring and developing direct reports

Driven by achieving results - self starter with track record of achieving goals beyond what is required and being proactive

Excellent aptitude for holding self and others accountable to a high standard of performance

Proficiency in word, excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft project
