Position Overview: The Branch Operations Manager at Gexpro Services has the responsibility for driving operational excellence within our branch office and warehouse locations. This key position has oversight of order processing and fulfillment, along with ensuring exceptional customer service for our key strategic accounts. Additionally, this role will have full P&L responsibility and should strive for OPEX improvement while driving operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform all operations activities for Gexpro Services branch location; Oversee order fulfillment, inventory performance, order processing, customer service and warehouse activities
  • Provide oversight to any off-site locations that stock inventory or provide fulfillment to customer base or key strategic accounts
  • Full cost management accountability for P&L; management of expenses for the branch with the focus on driving overall OPEX improvement and branch productivity
  • Manage customer service function by providing overall operational support for the sales team; call on customers as required to drive process improvement and increased customer service levels
  • Manage warehouse team and all operational aspects for the supply chain; strive for productivity and process improvement. Lead overall on-time-delivery (OTD) initiatives for branch
  • Review branch and warehouse metrics; take action where necessary based on results
  • Manage branch transportation spend for Transportation on Sales and Purchases; conduct monthly freight analysis and focus on overall transportation reduction initiatives
  • Work with branch to meet or exceed budgeted total sales, GE sales and margin objectives
  • Provide oversight of all administrative functions necessary to effectively manage branch location
  • Participate in branch sales, quality & service meetings
  • Participate in monthly meetings with customer to review metrics surrounding performance
  • Motivate, train and lead warehouse staff, administrative staff and inside sales team
  • Use Six Sigma tools to serve customers & grow sales profitably; implement projects as required to drive improvement
  • Must develop strong working relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Manage claims process to ensure quick resolution with customers and the sales team; ensure collection of Accounts Receivables is current
  • Serve as LEAN Leader for business
  • Work collaboratively with Branch Manager to address and provide branch with necessary training and tools
  • Lead branch Environmental Health and Safety programs; ensure warehouse team is operating in safe environment
  • Other duties as assigned.

Language Skills:

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and staff to make an accurate assessment of customer and branch needs.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to verify and calculate figures such as cost, credit, debit and profit, shortage, loss and understand and interpret financial and or inventory data and reports and balance sheets.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, inventory software, internet software and order processing systems.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. Ability to use sound judgment and problem solving skills to analyze customer, branch and employee problems and to recommend the proper course of action. Ability to organize and prioritize job projects and requirements.
