Please visit our website www.ovationsfoodservices.com for more company information.We are currently seeking a talented, motivated, and experienced Operations Manager to oversee our food service operations at the baseball parks in Norfolk, VA (Harbor Park and Scope).The Operations Manager will be a key position in the effective and profitable operation of the business. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work a variable event-driven schedule which includes evenings and weekends. Open availability, professional presentation, outstanding interpersonal skills, self-direction and strong management and independent decision-making skills are required.The Operations Manager will be responsible for: Essential Job Functions: Assists in the overall effective management of the Food & Beverage operations. Ensures total compliance with all alcohol service policies. Monitors alcohol service throughout event to assure 100% compliance with Alcohol Service policies. Reports any alcohol service or compliance issues to Ovations management immediately. Assist in the management of all events from et-up to tear down, including handling all communication with hourly staff, culinary staff, bar staff & guests. Ensure legal, efficient, professional and profitable operation of the venue. Generate and review financial reports, including budgets, projections, forecasting, revenue analysis, disbursements, capital investments, labor and product costs, wage and salary control, P&L financial statements. The ideal candidate MUST have the following qualifications: Basic computer proficiency: E-mail, Excel, Word, Outlook, Schedule+. Working knowledge of Point of Sale and timekeeping systems. Cash handling abilities; basic math skills including significant number manipulation. Ability to work a variable work schedule (including evenings and weekends, as required), depending upon event and business requirements. Good verbal and written communication skills. Functional competencies in initiative, food production and services; computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets. 1-2 years experience working in a supervisory capacity in a fast-paced bar/restaurant environment preferred. Must have a High School Diploma, G.E.D. or related Food Service Job Experience.
