An exciting opportunity has arisen for a natural leader to join our Bulk Division as an Operations Manager. Your ability to manage time effectively, strong communication skills and commitment to customer service will be second to none.

Reporting to the Victorian Metro Waste Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for efficient, cost-effective and profitable operations that are safe, legally, environmentally and ethically responsible. This is a rewarding role that would suit someone who has a passion for leadership and thrives in a challenging environment. The role will be influential in supporting the senior management group in driving positive, sustainable operations and culture change.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
Management of over 50 employees (including Logistics officers and Drivers),
A commitment to safe work practices, providing leadership, training and communication to the work force
Determine, acquire and allocate resources to drive efficient and effective operational performance
Compile and interpret financial information and data, drawing analysis to assist with driving improved operations
Manage and monitor key performance indicators, ensuring targets are met
Oversee the employment process for new vacancies in the team
Close interaction and the provision of exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders

As the ideal candidate, you will bring the following to the role:

A commitment to health and safety and strong knowledge of safe work practices
Previous managerial experience
Evidence of providing strong leadership and guidance, providing employees with motivation and empowerment
Strong time management skills
Strong communication skills with an ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders
Whilst not essential, a vocational/tertiary qualification in management would be highly regarded
