We have a position available for an Operations Manager at our site in Venice, LA.
Manages the daily operation, treatment, disposal and maintenance of an E&P waste treatment facility. Where applicable, o versees pump offs for salt-water barges, tank and equipment cleaning, barge off loading and waste treatment.
Assures compliance with established environmental, regulatory, safety and operating standards, policies and emergency response procedures.
High school diploma, Trade School or general education degree (GED). Some college preferred.
Lead or Supervisory experience with an understanding of training and HSE. Knowledge of scheduling and cost control.
Technical experience in operations in a similar environment with understanding of equipment used on site including heavy equipment (excavator, forklift, crane, etc).
Ingenuity and initiative are required to coordinate problem resolution related to equipment and personnel.
Must have the ability to diagnose process and mechanical problems, troubleshoot equipment and take corrective action within policy and procedure limitations.
Good communication and interpersonal skills in order to interface with and motivate all levels of personnel.
PC skills with proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
Demonstrates proficiency in the care and use of all site specific, facility required Personal Protection Equipment.
Valid Driver’s license and safe driving record. Must pass a drug screen, pre-employment physical and background check.
Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
Work Environment: Spends 100% of time in operations environment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet, humid, outside weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in work environment is usually moderate.
