Operations Officer (Job Number: 325353)


The Mission Support Business Unit is seeking Operations Officers to support a client’s collection objectives in a dynamic, fast paced environment. The positions require an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance with a polygraph examination. There is no exception to the clearance requirement. The positions offer candidates unique opportunities to support the client’s mission, which consists of identifying, spotting, assessing, recruiting, and running human sources. Successful candidates will work well in team environments and will be capable of operating independently with minimal supervision. Candidates will be expected to effectively interact with customer personnel at all levels within the customer organization. The positions require proficiency in HUMINT operations, including familiarity with the asset cycle.

JOB DESCRIPTION: In addition to the clearance requirement, successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in the functions of an Operations Officer. The positions entail collaborating with a client to facilitate the acquisition of human sources in support of the client’s collection requirements. Candidates will operate in fast paced, ambiguous environments where processes and requirements typically evolve. Successful candidates will apply their proficiency in HUMINT operations to the customer’s requirements in furtherance of acquiring intelligence related to key areas of interest to the United States. Candidates should be comfortable discussing counterintelligence issues affecting human sources while preparing nuanced solutions to complex cases with possible CI concerns. Daily activities include:
- Manage human sources while protecting sources and methods
- Recognize and ameliorate CI issues affecting human sources
- Continually vet human sources while enabling the acquisition of intelligence
- Pose creative solutions to complex cases that involve CI or other security considerations

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: TS/SCI with Polygraph and 12+ years of experience related to managing human sources or intelligence collection work is required. BA/BS or prior experience in enabling HUMINT operations or a related field as substitute for degree is required. Candidates must also meet the following skill requirements:
- Excellent operational judgment and the ability to respond quickly to priority data with minimal supervision
- Understanding of regional national security issues of interest to the USG, including the Middle East and counterterrorism
- Possess excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills
