As the Operational Production Engineer, reporting to the Operations Leader, you will be focused on identifying and executing projects to increase and maintain production on producing assets and decreasing lease operating expenses
  • Accountabilities
  • Ensure all activities are performed safely, within relevant regulatory and company requirements, and in accordance with HSE standards
  • Coordinate operations to meet or exceed availability and production targets
  • Communicate with other team leaders to optimize day-to-day operational activities
  • Coordinate the daily work activities including leading third party personnel and contractors to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
  • Identify options for OPEX reduction and production optimization
  • Responsibilities
  • Recognize production enhancement opportunities for well optimization and recommend solutions
  • Work with field personnel to identify potential production issues and determine a course of action
  • Select, design and recommend downhole and surface configurations to enhance production
  • Design and optimize artificial lift and surface facilities performance
  • Write re-completion programs if needed
  • In conjunction with field personnel schedule and coordinate well work to optimize production
  • Oversee cost control and budget monitoring
  • Identifying and modeling inflow performance, artificial lift, chemical injection and integrity requirements for both production and injection wells
  • Prepare technical reports for engineering and management personnel
  • Ability to work in a team environment including: Reservoir Engineering, Facilities, Operation and Maintenance, Production Accounting and Regulatory
  • Facilities design
  • Perform additional special projects and duties as directed by management
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related discipline
    • 5 - 10 years of experience of operations experience, working with a producer/operator or service provider
    • Strong background in production of oil, gas and condensate
    • Software experience should include: Synergy, Aries, OFM, Prosper, Perform Nodal analysis software
    • Strong MS Office skills: Excel spreadsheets, Word, Powerpoint & Outlook
    • Travel to the field to support operations as needed
