Summary:
Provide support and direction for the day to day operational, financial and personnel activities within Revenue Cycle at University Hospital and Clinics, Women's and Children's Hospital, Missouri Orthopaedic Institute, and Missouri Psychiatric Center.
Required Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree in business, finance or health care related field; master's degree preferred. Requires at least four years of experience in health information management, computer science, health services, patient accounting, or patient management, with at least two years in a supervisory role.

Detailed Description:
Interview, select, hire, orient, evaluate, train and insure competency for department staff; provide ongoing continuing education and development; instruct, counsel, coach and update staff in accordance with hospital and departmental values, vision, mission and procedures, insure alignment with code of conduct; Serve as procedure and systems resource for staff and other departments regarding compliance with regulatory, federal and state laws.

Provide oversight in developing, delegating, implementing and reviewing departmental policies and procedures, goals, programs; represent, chair and participate in appropriate committee activities as designed.

Function as liaison to resolve problems/conflicts between patients, visitors, co-workers and other MU HealthCare staff; collaborate and confer with physicians and other department leadership to resolve operational issues, promote communication and insure quality delivery of services.

Identify and evaluate new and improved technology/equipment selection, computer applications, maintain equipment and make recommendations and Request for Proposals etc. as necessary.

Provide fiscal and operational input for preparation and monitoring of departmental budget including monthly reviews, FTE and expenditure adjustment to meet financial targets are met; Delineate and monitor business operations to ensure most effective and efficient services are provided; Facilitate maintenance and monitoring of software and equipment; Participate and lead special projects to achieve designated outcomes as assigned by department manager.
