The Operations Senior Analyst is responsible for coordinating settlement of new issue securities in the primary market where Deutsche Bank is part of the syndicate acting as a lead manager or co-manager. Many aspects of the functions are highly regulated under broker-dealer guidelines which means that attention to detail and ability to meeting critical deadlines will be necessary. Interaction with high profile internal and external clients is necessary and very important to ensure smooth settlement of a deal.


Responsible for tracking and distributing daily settlement calendars for upcoming deals

Gain eligibility on Lead Managed Corporate, High Yield and Equity issuances from DTC, Euroclear and Cusip

Maintain deal folders with offering materials and other deal correspondence or confirmations

Responsible for setting up Fedwire payments and ensure disbursement to issuers

Ensure DBSI prospectus obligations are fulfilled in accordance with the Securities ACT

Request static data setup for new securities in the back office systems and book trades in Espear (if necessary)

Cordinate settlement of the new Agency CMO deals monthly

Provide settlement support to the RMBS and CMBS business

Where appropriate, builds and maintains relationships with key front office clients to be a point of contact for new deals

Ensures the escalation of operational, regulatory and other risks to line manager and functional leads as appropriate; contributes to the development and implementation of mitigation or control solutions

Participates in periodic reviews of the efficiency and effectiveness of operational processes within own area of responsibility to identify opportunities to eliminate waste and improve efficiency and performance

Works effectively within own team, providing support and guidance to colleagues to create and foster an environment of continuous improvement


Relevant experience of the security settlements process

Knowledge of types of bonds and common stock related products

System knowledge of DTC, ADP, ICI, Espear, Bloomberg

Basic analytical skills , attention to detail and intermediary MS Excel skills

Flexibility around deal closings and pricings earlier or later in the day or as needed

Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (written/verbal) as appropriate

Ability to work in virtual teams and in a matrix organizations

Excellent team worker, able to work in virtual global teams and a matrix organization

Ability to work in fast paced environment, keep pace with technical innovation and maintain a broad understanding of the GBS offering

Open minded, able to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members


Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent)
