Are you a student currently pursuing a degree in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, operations management, supply chain/logistics engineering, or quality reliability engineering? Operations Specialist Intern

The Operations Specialist will participate in a complex and exciting manufacturing project focusing on LEAN Manufacturing techniques. Overall, these projects are components of systems supporting homeland and missile defense strategies. And may involve products currently in production, those in design and those transitioning to production.

The organization is heavily aligned with Six Sigma principles; hence a key component of this internship will be the completion of a project leading to Six Sigma Specialist certification. Additionally, the intern will work independently reviewing business systems and implementing new techniques within production areas. The intern will have broad-based exposure to various business areas including Performance Excellence, Finance, Integrated Supply Chain and Production & Design Engineering.

Do you have this Basic Qualifications?
Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in one of the following degree programs:
Manufacturing Engineering
Industrial Engineering
Operations Management
Supply Chain/Logistics Engineering
Quality/Reliability Engineering
  • Or applicable major
Do you have any of the following Desired Qualifications?
GPA of 3.0 or better strongly desired
Previous intern experience
Effective written and oral communication skills
Ability to work well in a team
Good computer skills
Strong communication and influencing skills
Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment
Ability to work well both as part of a team or as an individual contributor
