Job Summary:
Controls the flow of customer traffic in and out of the intermodal facility in a safe and efficient manner.

Primary Activities and Responsibilities:
Work with terminal manager and/or operations supervisor to coordinate and ensure that train plans and terminal plans are in harmony to minimize arrival spot times on inbound trains.

Coordinate efficient loading of all outbound cargo and makes on time releases of outbound trains by directing employees and contractors to reduce the amount of unproductive track time.

Assist terminal manager and/or operation supervisor in determining sufficient staffing levels and establish schedules to maximize the use of clerical and contract employees.

Ensure all CSX intermodal safety and environmental policies are adhered to by all employees and contractors.

Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager.


Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required

1 or more years of supervisory experience required in Transportation, Logistics, or Rail Operations

Knowledge and Skills:
Microsoft Office skills

Railroad industry knowledge

Job Requirements:
Wear protective equipment such as welding shields, hard hat, hearing protection, steel-toe boots, work boots, safety vest, face shield, and safety glasses.

Work hours may vary in length and schedule. Work hours may include a nonstandard workweek and various shift work.

The applicant selected for this position may be required to successfully complete a background check and drug test. Passing results must be received prior to start date in new position.
