Alaska Waste, a Waste Connections Company has an immediate position available for an Operations Supervisor at our Wasilla, AK location. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience within the transportation industry. In this position you will be overseeing 19 garbage truck drivers in Wasilla and will periodically assist in supervising 9 union drivers in Eagle River. You will be involved in the hiring, training, supervising and coaching of the drivers, will participate in safety meetings, and will do ride-alongs with the employees.
During the summertime, you will likely assist in running garbage routes for approximately 4-8 hours per week.
