As the Operations Support Analyst you will have an opportunity to assist in providing efficient and effective problem identification and resolution for Plum Creek resources, and will work with Plum Creek's forestry GIS system as well as Esri's ArcGIS suite. We are looking for an analytical thinker with the ability to review issues and symptoms and propose alternative solutions. The Operations Support Analyst must be self-sufficient in completing analytical support requests using Esri's ArcGIS suite, MS Access, and/or SQL for data mining purposes and should have strong organizational and communication skills. The successful candidate must possess the ability to work both in a team environment and individually with limited supervision, and must have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and learn new concepts and applications quickly.

Assist in routine analysis and reporting to include but not limited to (50% of workload):
Cut Out Comparison reporting
Post-Harvest photo audit
Environmental Analysis and Reporting
Spray Data Analysis and Reporting
Inventory analysis projects
Partner with IT Project Manager in the coordination of current version Forestry GIS maintenance release testing and maintenance release deployments including testing and writing detailed test scripts.
Trouble shooting bugs and issues related to the current version Forestry GIS as they arise.
Build understanding of current version Forestry GIS database structure and design
Assist manager in requirements gathering and documentation of next generation Forest Management System as requested.
Heads-up-digitizing from ortho-rectified aerial photos
Spatial data maintenance
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Forestry, GIS, Geography, or other Natural Resources field is required.
Graduate degree or Certificate in GIS is preferred.
A minimum of 2+ years of field and/or GIS data analysis experience is preferred.
Familiarity with ArcGIS suite is required. Use of Spatial Analyst and Business Analyst toolsets is preferred.
Experience working with SQL or the Microsoft Office 2010 suite including Access is required.
This position may involve overnight travel for work related purposes. Travel is expected to be 10% or less.
A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required as a company vehicle may be driven periodically for specified assignments.
