This is a supervisory and professional position responsible for assisting with coordination of operational matters at all MCFI Nutrition Services locations. The incumbent reports to the Director of Operations for Nutrition Services. This position may be assigned to assist with coverage and leadership at any Nutrition Services location or program.
Coordinates the orientation and training of team members regarding the standard operational procedures for Nutrition Services including, but not limited to; general duties, work rules and work instructions, service provision, HACCP/food safety protocols, compliance with contractual and Department of Public Instruction regulations.
Implements the Nutrition Services Training Program with direction and guidelines provided by the Director of Operations for Nutrition Services.
Manages the quality assurance program for Nutrition Services. This includes site visits and audits at all MCFI Nutrition Services locations.
Manages the Monitors and related paperwork for the Summer Food Service Program.
Manages the Customer Service Program for Nutrition Services.
Creates and disperses the weekly production sheets, production assignment sheets and point of sale documents per the MCFI work instructions.
Audits required documentation at Nutrition Service locations which may include training logs, production documentation, meal count data collection, HACCP/food safety plan logs and required audit forms.
Assists Director of Operations Nutrition Services in assuring that team members provide the highest level of professional effectiveness within the department and in working with other areas of the agency.
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Driver’s License and automobile insurance per MCFI’s reimbursement guidelines.
Current ServSafe Certification must be maintained.
Higher Level Education, Completed Degree, and/or Certification related to Culinary Arts, Dietetic Technician Registered, Registered Dietitian or Food Manager necessary
Experience in Quantity Food Production and Catering in excess of 250 meals per day preferred.
A minimum of five years of experience in food service necessary.
