Southwestern Energy Company is a rapidly growing, independent producer of domestic natural gas, an important natural resource that helps fuel our nation's economy while playing a critical role in America's quest for energy independence. Southwestern Energy Company began operating in Arkansas 80 years ago. We now produce primarily natural gas from more than 1.5 million acres of land and have expanded our operations into Texas, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania. We also engage in natural gas gathering and marketing activities in our core market areas in support of exploration and production activities. We are currently looking for a Regulatory Analyst for our office in Tunkhannock, PA.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Providing support to the manager and engineers in all stages of development, analysis and presentation of data using knowledge of spreadsheets, databases and other company software
  • Develop and update As-Built drawings to support the E&P business.
  • Creates presentation quality maps to support the E&P business. Performs spatial data analysis, attribution, management, and is responsible for applying quality control procedures on the data to ensure its accuracy
  • Develops short-term objectives, schedules, action plans, and milestones for accomplishing goals. Applies broad understanding of the organization, functions, roles, and responsibilities in order to perform tasks
  • Consults outside information sources and colleagues in other disciplines to gather information
  • Makes decisions using defined parameters
  • Works on tasks or projects that have medium-term objectives that support the achievement of economic goals, and are commensurate with knowledge and experience
  • Participates as a team member during projects, presents recommendations and builds on other's ideas, questions and improves procedures and applies sound technical judgment.

  • Skills required:

  • At least two years of experience as an Associate AutoCAD Technician or similar role is required
  • Must have an understanding of the exploration and production business
  • Should have knowledge of ESRI Desktop products and other GIS/CAD & graphics drawing applications
  • Working knowledge of cartography, geography, and spatial concepts is required
  • Should possess basic knowledge of Trimble mapping grade GPS hand held units.
  • In addition to AutoCAD software, candidates should be familiar with GIS, topographic and bathymetric mapping, database management, and other general office applications
  • Self motivated with ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team with little supervision
  • Must be able to work additional hours when needed
  • Capable of performing field work including traversing our rough terrain and working in inclement weather
  • Must be proficient with MS Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
