MTSI, a rapidly growing, award winning, employee-owned small business seeks an Aberdeen Operations and Business Development Lead to help introduce our differentiated core services/products into the Aberdeen market. This person will be responsible for: *
  • Serving as MTSI Operations and Business Development Director (start our Aberdeen Office) with significant support from MTSI headquarters in Virginia *
  • Fill key contractor leadership position (direct bill) working for Army CECOM or CERDEC customer *
  • Help establish MTSI relationships and credibility with Army customers and potential industry partners *
  • Prioritize and De-conflict Business Development priorities *
  • Hire and manage MTSI staff


MTSI is seeking an employee with a thorough understanding and experience in supporting the complete life-cycle of Army C4ISR systems. The ideal candidate will have detailed knowledge and experience working with Army plans, policies, standards, and technologies aimed at the acquisition and support of hardware, software and computer systems for the Army Material Command (AMC), Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) and the Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC).

Other requirements include: *
  • Highly resourceful and customer relations-oriented individual that has a high level of personal credibility with Army customers, industry leads, and potential future MTSI recruits *
  • Candidate must be capable of developing and maintaining customer and industry relationships in pursuit of new business and must have a history of ethical business conduct, successful captures, and effective collaboration *
  • A Bachelor's degree and 10 years of Operations/Business Development experience is required *
  • Organized, aggressive, highly skilled professional knowledgeable in government contracting *
  • Winning and sell-out of Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) and Blanket Purchase (BPA) awards and task orders *
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills proven ability to drive business development performance for a greater than $10M per year business line *
  • Proven ability to interface internally and externally at executive levels; strong customer skills *
  • Proven ability to gain support and buy-in from program, functional and line leadership *
  • Strong capture and proposal skills and ability to mentor others in this area *
  • Complete understanding of the federal government acquisition process as it relates to business development *
  • Familiarity with online tools used by the Federal Government for solicitations *
  • Candidate must be willing to work out of our Aberdeen Proving Ground office *
  • Track record of winning is essential

  • Aberdeen Tenants including CECOM, CERDEC, and ARL *
  • Army Soldier Systems and PEO Soldier *
  • Army Test and Evaluation Command *
  • Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology (ASA/ALT) - PEO-C3T, PEO-IEWS, Dir-SOSI, G-3/5/7 LandWarNet/Battle Command and RDECOM
