This position is in support of the ISR business area, and is specifically slated for the Sensors product line at the Hudson site. The intent of this position is developmental in nature, and will include assignments on both cost-plus engineering development programs, as well as small to mid-level fixed price production programs. A successful candidate will have a high potential for adapting to new situations, working with teams, driving issues to closure, and working independently. This position requires knowledge of the various Operations processes and organization, as well as a familiarity of the other non-Operations functions, such as Engineering and Finance. Required Education:
Bachelors and 4+ year(s) related experience Required Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, similar technical degree or equivalent experience.,Employees in California must have a Bachelor’s degree in the applicable field, or an applicable certification, equivalent certificate or any required license. Equivalent experience will not be considered. Required Skills:
1. Ensures Operations performance against the baseline program plan by managing the performance of all Operations functions assigned to a program. Identifies and resolves performance problems. 2. Provides a "single point of contact" between Operations and the Program Office for providing program status and resolving problems. Presents Operations status to customer, Program Management and/or Operations Management. 3. Coordinates preparation of Estimate to Complete/Latest Revised Estimates for all Operations functions by requesting input from appropriate Operations sources, reviewing data for completeness and accuracy of approach and negotiating changes. Ensures Operations input is completed and submitted on schedule and within budget. 4. Interfaces with the appropriate organization within Operations to ensure any changes which will impact assigned tasks have been appropriately communicated. 5. Ensures that Operations provides a competitively costed, accurate, supportable cost proposal within time and budget constraints as previously agreed to with the Proposal Manager. 6. Plans all Operations functions in a manner consistent with the Statement of Work negotiated with the customer and applicable Management Directives & Practices. 7. Supports Operations position during audits, fact finding and negotiation by participating with Program Manager in all phases to assure arbitrary concessions are not made. Calls on other Operations organizations to provide support as required and acts as the coordinating authority to change Operations estimated cost based on agreed upon changes in scope. 8. Provides inputs to the technical and management volumes of proposals as deemed necessary by Proposal Managers. 9. Provides leadership consistent with the Mission and Guiding Principals.
