Relocation Assistance Available

Requires a high degree of problem solving, communication, independent research and analytical skills. Design and develop new automotive lighting technologies. Take advanced optical concepts and develop them into viable illumination systems. Work with LEDs, Lasers, HID, Halogen and other lighting sources. Improve and develop optical design and development techniques and technologies. Create intellectual property through research and development activities. Understanding of legal and regulatory specifications as they apply to various lighting functions. Work within a R+D team structure. Work closely with global counterparts and workgroups.

MS degree in Optics or Physics; BS degree in Optics or Physics + 3 years automotive optical design experience.
Demonstrated abilities through product development portfolio. : Experience with non-imaging optics and photometric measurement systems. Experience with CAD systems (CATIA V5 preferred). Expert level experience with optical design software (ASAP preferred). Experience with design of automotive exterior lighting technologies. Understanding of automotive regulations, optical design/development techniques required.

The Ideal Candidate

+ 3 years automotive optical design experience with Catia software experience. Bachelors degree or Masters.
