The Optimization Manager is a mid-level role on our growing Optimization team, which drives delivery, optimization, and reporting for all ad campaigns. The Optimization team works very closely with the Digital Media Client Strategy and Management, Solutions, and Analytics teams, which together handle advertising on behalf of our clients. We’re looking for someone web-savvy and resourceful to join the Optimization team and help us be the ad serving and analytics experts for our company and our clients! The ideal candidate is an expert problem solver and data digger but also an expert communicator -- able to dive in to retrieve details and then discuss them in a human way.
Launching and managing campaigns
Proactively working with Client Services to set-up campaigns according to customer objectives
Technical troubleshooting at all stages of the campaign process from implementation through execution and reporting
Manage the QA process for all campaigns as well as pixel implementation
Coordinate with Product and Engineering teams on ad server and trafficking platform feature enhancements
Day-to-day monitoring of campaign performance, and conducting performance analyses on a regular basis
Provide optimization recommendations based on the customer’s campaign objectives
Provide the highest quality client service support by addressing any campaign challenges with accuracy, efficiency, diligence, thoroughness, and professionalism
This position reports to the Sr. Director of Media Operations.
Merkle will consider Mid-Level candidates for this position.
2+ years experience working in online display media operations, experience in mobile is a plus
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Experience with DFA
Strong experience in technologies used to support online and/or mobile advertising operations: ad serving, audience management tools, inventory applications, HTML, XML, and third-party ad tags
Well versed in the Microsoft Office suite specifically, Excel and Power Point
Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize responsibilities
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-pace environment
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Self-motivated, but also can work well in a team
Ability to proactively organize daily tasks and make your own to do list
Basic knowledge of HTML and keeping a blog (the "tech" side of blogging)
Familiarity with Google products like Docs, Calendar, AdSense, Analytics
Keen problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Drive, ability to manage details, meticulousness
Enthusiasm for the future of brand advertising on the web and building that future with us
Willingness to travel 10%
