Our direct client which is implementing Oracle E-Business and OBIEE applications across the globe is looking for an Oracle Applications Functional Senior Manager.
Support , maintain and configure the Oracle E-Business and OBIEE applications for the finance community across the globe
Manage a team of functional support staff in Latam and domestically and any additional functional resources that are engaged for consulting projects
Responsible for overseeing implementations and/or upgrades and ensure that support standards are in place
Responsible for running facilitated sessions with key stakeholders and effectively communicating status on open projects and issues.
Lead the development of end-user reporting solutions by understanding user requirements, designing reporting solutions, and coordinating the development of solutions within OBIEE
Drive initiation, analysis and document business requirements with business users for various initiatives
Assist in the training of users and support and develop System Module Experts (SME’s) within the finance user community
Although this role reports to the VP finance systems it is important that this role work effortlessly with the Corporate IT department to support the users as well as implementing solutions
This position is required to travel overseas to support regional finance teams on project initiatives and for end user training
Will play the lead functional role and have oversight on all functional areas for the R12 upgrade as well as other projects such as Europe Middle East Oracle implementation, the integration of Oracle with the their new reservation system as well as the integration of new business acquisitions.
Collaborates with Business Process Owner, Functional Lead , Business Process Specialist(s) and Corporate IT team to provide innovative solutions to fix business issues
Mapping current business needs with Oracle Applications to identifying areas that need customization and/or set-ups to improve the functionality of the existing application.
Review current business process flows and suggesting alternate options to reduce bottlenecks and improve productivity
Responsible for providing end user functional support to the finance user community in the US and overseas
Requires BS Accounting /Finance/Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
Heavy functional with light to medium technical knowledge of and recent hands on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite 11i and/or R12 financial applications.
Must have 10-15 years of functional experience with integration of Oracle EBS Applications
Have strong functional expertise with the following Oracle financials modules: General Ledger, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Fixed Assets, and Purchasing.
Solid understanding of core financial process (Financial statements, periodic closing cycle, reconciliations, Procure 2 pay, Order 2 Cash, Record to Report).
Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence (OBBIEE) and Hyperion EPMA is desirable.
Experience managing financial systems projects including systems upgrades
Able to work effectively with both finance users and corporate IT to meet
Experience managing Oracle functional specialists (both consulting and temporary staff) in supporting the requirements of the finance community. There will be at least two direct reports and potentially more depending on the project requirements
Extensive involvement and played a key role in large financial systems projects across multiple geographies, multiple languages and currencies
Familiar with Oracle EBS localizations for the international businesses including Brazil, Europe, India and other countries in Latin America
An understanding of the differences between statutory, GAAP and IFRS reporting and how Oracle EBS can be used to meet these different reporting obligations
Customer focused as this is primarily a support role for the global finance community
