The Chrysler Quality Organization is currently seeking an Ordinary Quality Test Integrity Process Engineer professional to join our Quality team at Chrysler World Headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The Quality Test Process Engineer is responsible for ensuring that common best practices are used in the Ordinary Quality Vehicle Testing programs initiated during the development and launch phases of new vehicle product. This role serves as a focal coordinator for the test integrity for the Chrysler Proving Grounds and the outside test supplier, who will be testing several different vehicles products simultaneously. The candidate must have proven track record for developing and executing standardization with proven experience in both supplier and quality areas. He/she will have a broad knowledge of the entire automotive engineering, manufacturing and quality landscape.

The Quality Test Engineer expert must be a creative problem solver, proactive and steadfast in the identification and resolution vehicle quality. The selected individual will have experience in managing cross-functionally and possess a broad knowledge of the entire automotive engineering, manufacturing and quality landscape and present outstanding teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate must be high-energy, hands-on individual with strength of convictions -- a self-confident leader who, in part due to his/her personal presence, style and demeanor, effectively sells ideas and solutions to others. Moreover, this person must have unquestioned integrity.

The specific qualifications for are:
  • Responsible for ensuring durability/reliability vehicle fleets run with the latest software and hardware for electrical modules for all vehicle programs
  • Work with vehicle integration, validation and product responsible owners to gather the latest software and hardware available for all electrical modules for all programs
  • Modules include: Body/Chassis Controllers, Powertrain, Connectivity & Infotainment, Interior modules, Safety controllers for the ordinary quality fleet
  • Collaborate with engineering to plan, coordinate and execute vehicle re-flashes and hardware swaps at the proving grounds and test supplier
  • Manage the process to track updates by proving grounds test information systems (date of update, vehicle number, software file/hardware part number)
  • Report weekly on the status of vehicle fleet percent up to date; for both program and module
  • Participate in process initiatives to streamline the vehicle data processing with Quality Reliability teams and the Electrical Engineering teams
  • Plan, prioritize, set goals and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment
  • Strong communication skills to support meetings at all levels of the company, including senior leadership
  • Establish partnerships both internally and externally and to influence without direct authority
  • Commitment and dedication in delivering a premier product to the consumer
  • Represent the "Voice of the Customer" to the platform teams
  • Contribute or drive team success by clarifying expectation and minimizing political hurdles

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors of Science in engineering degree required
  • Three years automotive experience required
  • Two years quality experience is required
  • Computer literacy required
  • Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous supplier interface experience is a plus
  • Previous leadership experience is a plus
