We are located in the biotechnology incubator facility on the University of South Florida campus in Tampa, FL. Our proprietary IVECT targeted drug delivery platform offers a new solution to oncologists, who must balance the anti-tumor activity of best-in-class chemotherapeutics with their severe toxicities. Besides oncology applications, the IVECT method has also demonstrated preclinical proof-of-concept in a number of other therapeutic and diagnostic categories.
We have an immediate full-time opening for a highly productive B.S. or M.S. l evel synthetic organic/ polymer chemist with a minimum of 2 -3 years of industrial experience. Ph.D. level chemists with 1-2 years of industrial experience will also be considered. The candidate will have a solid track record of achievement in polymer and /or medicinal chemistry, as evidenced by patents and publications. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
This is a bench-level position and the incumbent will be expected to display a high level of urgency, creativity, and productivity. Working knowledge of common organic laboratory techniques (TLC, extraction, flash chromatography, distillation, inert atmosphere, syringe techniques, vacuum transfer) and instrumentation (NMR, HPLC, MS, SEC/ GPC) are essential.
