Develop and implement Organizational Development (OD) strategies and programs that address long and short-term, organizational goals, and training needs. Ensure programs are consistent with the Fund mission, the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), comply with legal requirements, and promote positive employee relations

Identify competency and knowledge gaps through various assessment tools and develop targeted programs for filling gaps through training and employee development.

Create and facilitate skill development sessions for individual and groups in classroom setting i.e. leadership training, customer service, etc.

Develop objective methods that assess the metrics of OD training efforts against Fund performance goals

Provide clear and concise feedback, including presentations, on the effectiveness of employee relations and OD development programs to senior management.

Keep abreast of advances in the skill development and employee relations discipline. Identify and implement best practices and organizational development principles. Identify opportunities to improve internal training by benchmark best-in-class organizations and state-of-the-art methods

Coordinate efforts across the organization, partnering with management at all levels and all department as necessary

Perform special projects and assignments as directed by management


Bachelor’s in Organizational Development, Human Resource Management, Training and Development, or related field; or the equivalent experience, plus

Minimum six (6) years practical Training and/or Organizational Development experience managing/facilitating training for a mid size organization

Solid experience designing, delivering and evaluating training needs assessments, developing effective training programs and materials, and presenting course materials in a formal training environment.

Thorough knowledge and application of Human Resource Development (HRD) and Organizational Development (OD) theories and applications

Strong knowledge of HR disciplines around change management, training facilitation, presentation skills, consultative skills, and conflict management

Working union environment experience a plus

Expert instructional design skills

Professional platform, presentation and facilitation skills

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to organize and prioritize work in a highly confidential environment is essential
