Job Descriptions:
As an Orthodontic Digital Lab Technician, you will communicate directly with orthodontists to understand their requirements for patient specific treatment appliances. You will then design and fabricate custom appliances using 3D design software.

This position plans and coordinates the activities of the Harmony production lab including:

Administrative tasks – may include entering orders and prescriptions into system, emailing customer updates, and coordinating activities with production

Resin model production from impressions – pouring resin into impressions and performing quality control checks.

Scanning resin malocclusion on digital scanner – includes operating the machine and ensuring accurate data is obtained.

Virtual set up of the digital model on Harmony proprietary software – consists of virtual separation of teeth and then aligning the teeth to a selected arch wire and making sure the bite is properly aligned in an ideal end-position.

Appliance design on virtual set-up using Harmony software – consists of CAD/CAM design of appliances on to the virtual teeth.

Sending digital files to production equipment – assure data is accurate and then send data to appropriate production equipment for fabrication.

Works to create and manage sustainable and high quality processes.

Responsible for implementing continuous improvement techniques.

Possible travel to Paris, France for 3 to 4 weeks of specific Harmony training.

Required Experience:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an orthodontic or dental lab.

Have a good knowledge of making plaster set-up models for positioners or aligner fabrication.

Ability to do diagnostic set-ups of teeth.

Knowledge of tooth anatomy, function and occlusion.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications.

CAD/CAM software experience is a plus.

Excellent 3D spatial skills

Must have good critical process thinking skills.

Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail.
