Perform outreach and recruitment activities in order to identify appropriate participants for participation in Paul D. Camp Community College's new Out of School Youth (OSY) grant program. The goal of the program is to successfully transition 18 to 21 year old participants into post-secondary education, the workforce, or the military.
Provide primary services and activities to include: on-campus worksite development and paid work experience; mentoring from adult PDCCC staff; work readiness skills and career exploration activities; field trips to local employers and tours of colleges and universities; workshops and seminars on topics.
Track and document each participant's progress on an ongoing basis; maintain case notes on each participant and update such every thirty (30) days, at a minimum; report participant enrollment, exit and related program activity information to Opportunity Inc.
Maintain a system that is sufficient for the timely and accurate reporting of all financial transactions conducted with Contract funds.
Associates degree in Counseling, Psychology, Sociology or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Prior experience working with adult populations in an academic environment. Possess current valid driver's license, as some local travel is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as organizational and time management skills required.
Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Sociology or related field preferred.
