In Wells Fargo's Consumer Lending Group (CLG), we've built our team of top professionals by rewarding their accomplishments and ensuring they have what's needed to succeed.

The CLG team includes our home mortgage, home equity, consumer credit card, personal loans and lines, direct auto, dealer services and commercial auto, retail services and education financial services businesses.

The Outbound Sales Spec (SAFE) 1 position is responsible for making outbound calls with the objective of extending contact to sell new or additional products and/or services.

Incumbents sell to prospective customers using either pre-established leads or leads sourced by incumbents.

Informs customers of company s current promotions and products.

Requires extensive knowledge of company, products, and/or services.

May require advanced problem solving and/or sophisticated sales techniques.

Incumbent may act as a liaison between various departments and customer to reach sales conclusion with the customer.

This position requires compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations.

Ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting all such requirements, including acceptable background investigation results.

Basic Qualifications

6+ months of sales or customer service experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to listen, elicit information efficiently, comprehend and resolve complex customer issues. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic knowledge of financial products and services. Strong PC skills including ability to troubleshoot common problems and navigate the internet and intranet. This position requires S.A.F.E. registration at the time of employment. The Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) web site (mortgage.nationwidelicensingsystem.org) provides the MU4R questions and registration required for employment in this position.

This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
