POSITION SUMMARY:
The outpatient clerk performs the functions of reception, registration, charge entry, filing, scheduling, and chart assembly, and assists department Health Unit Coordinator as needed.
Focuses on guest relations when communicating with patients, family, staff, and other departments.
Possesses skills and understanding in dealing with the adult and geriatric population.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Medical records, medical terminology, and completion of formal related learning programs.
REQUIRED COURSE(S)/TRAINING:
Preferred medical terminology
