Must meet No Child Left Behind requirements of two years post-high education or higher, or be able to pass a standardized test approved by the state of South Dakota.
Highly qualified educational assistant status; ability to work with students one-to-one or in small groups; ability to assist the classroom teacher with daily tasks within the classroom.
This position will require personnel to work with two third grade teachers while they are teaching in the core subject areas, reading, math and language arts for six hours per day. Duties include: assist teacher in identifying student needs, provide tutorial assistance for students in all classes, prepare instruction and supplementary materials, maintain records, check papers, workbooks, homework and tests, assist student with makeup work, maintain student confidentiality, assist teachers in supervising students in the classroom, inside/outside lunchroom duties assigned each week, may include breakfast service.
