Role/ Team Summary

This position is required to support the Agency Pool/MBS P&I processing/allocation business, analyzing open balances, incoming claims and principal and income allocation for all firm, customer, fail, repo and borrow positions. It is absolutely essential to ensure accurate and timely processing (payment and collection) of Principle &Interest distributions on a daily basis.

The candidate is required to have a solid understanding of Fixed Income Products; FED (Treasury & Agency) MBS (FNMA & GNMA) ABS, CMBS, CMO, Corporate Bonds and Securities clearing system (GSCX, DTC, Euro clear). Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy, a quick learner, comfortable with and able to manage complex trading systems and environments. Possess a strong customer orientation, internal and external, with a commitment to quality, accuracy and efficiency. Strong organizational and detail oriented skills, with proven ability to manage and prioritize work to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Tracking P&I and Redemptions of securities collections and remittance

Monitor MBS P&I receivable and payable balances, aged item analysis, and resolution of all reconciling

items; Calculates, monitors P & I Paydown Amortized value, Sinking funds and Interest earned on various

Fixed Income securities

Coordinate reconciliation of daily principal breaks due to incorrect or missing

factor information on all ABS, CMO,CDO, CLO, MBS, RMBS securities

Monitor all principal and interest claims, TMPGFails Charge, ensuring the appropriate priority of aged

items to reduce risk.

Manage month end close relating to P&I activity

Liaise with Custodian, Middle offices, Business Unit Control and Trading Desk to ensure appropriate

treatment of P&I.

Coordinate with various departments and external contacts to resolve discrepancies. This includes Product Control,

Reg. Finance, Middle office, Repo Desk, Treasury, Funds Control, Clearance, clearing bank, and external

counterparts.

Ensure documentation for all new and enhanced processes and manage their subsequent implementation.

Identify key issues/concerns, determine alternatives, and implement final resolution based on coordination

with management.

Assist in internal and external audits for P&I department.

Establish external relationships and participate in industry initiatives

Ability to perform under pressure in a team environment with a high motivation/energy level,

managing multiple tasks to established deadlines but with the ability to manage adhoc requests

or competing deadlines as needed

Responsibilities

Bachelor’s degree +

2+ years' experience in the Fixed income environment

The candidate must possess strong quantitative skills with the ability to drive results.

The candidate must possess excellent communication, presentation, and people skills.

Proficiency in Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, DTC settlements, Euroclear, Bloomberg, Transcends statements, Stock
