The City of Grandview, Missouri Parks and Recreation Department has an immediate opening for a FULL-TIME PARK MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR . This position, under the supervision of the Parks Services Manager, is responsible for supervision and working alongside maintenance staff to enhance and maintain park amenities. This would include playgrounds, pools, shelters, restrooms, trails, drives, athletic complexes, vehicles and equipment.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Skills in plumbing, carpentry, electrical with the knowledge of building construction methods and materials. Knowledge of heavy equipment and their operation is desirable. Ability to direct, plan, schedule work activities of others is critical for this position. Knowledge of landscape and horticulture maintenance and practices with the ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment is required. Must have ability to use Microsoft Office Suite for reports and correspondence. Ability to work overtime and return to work when needed.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED, vocational/technical training with emphases in mechanical repair and/or construction practices; preferred two years relevant experience or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Possession of a valid state driver’s license and the ability to obtain a CDL within the first six months of employment and ability to obtain Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) status within one year. Must successfully pass a background check and employer provided drug screen.

Pay Range: $17.02/hour. Starting salary is based upon qualifications. Plus an excellent benefit package.
