Minimum of 1- 3 year related experience required

  • Education: High school graduate required.

    Experience/Qualifications: Ability to type 45 words per minute. Medical terminology desired. Familiar with computers (PC) and Windows-based systems. Knowledge of all general office equipment. One-year previous experience in healthcare related setting with knowledge in insurance payer regulations of primary/secondary coverage’s. Hospital Business Office experience desired.

    Physical Requirements: Light While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) required to stand, sit, and walk; frequently to use hands, fingers; and frequently to talk or hear. The employee must exert up to 15 pounds of force occasionally (activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time), and/or up to 5 pounds of force frequently , and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

    Exposure to diseases possible but not probable due to controlled environment and limited exposure to patients.

    Position Summary: Follow-up on all third party and patient accounts until the account is paid in full or flagged for transfer to transfer to collections. Handles mail, customers and phones. Manages status of accounts receivable which drive the collection group parameters.
