Our electronics and systems engineering group includes electrical, electronic, mechanical, and software engineers. This position is based in Reading, PA.
This is a engineering position which offers a significant opportunity for innovation and creativity. This role requires working with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers to develop schematics and produce layouts for a variety of products like switch mode converter, wireless, high density CPU boards.
This role will also require communication with external PCB manufacturers and an in-house assembly team and deliver boards with a high density and level of quality and manufacturability on time.
Working with Electronics & Systems engineers to develop Schematics
Conversion of Schematics to PCB layout, including component symbol and footprint
Generation and library management
Working with external PCB manufacturers
Contributing to continual process improvement within the PCB layout function
Component Cost Studies and availabilities
Applicants must have the following minimum education, skills, and work experience:
Experience in Digital and Analogue design, preferably power conversion
Understanding of layout techniques for High Density
Experience with Altium/Orcad schematic capture and layout tools
Knowledge and experience of high power/voltage placement and routing
Experience with design for HiSpeed digital and analogue routing
Knowledge of EMC/LVD/UL compliance
Knowledge of PCB manufacturing process
The ability to work in a team environment on a number of projects at once
Preferred education, skills, and work experience:
BS EE with minimum 7 year of experience in the layout design
Tools : Altium/Orcad
Ability to work alone or with the teams to develop creative solutions and products
Good communication skills, team spirit, creativity and proactive.
