The Golfsmith PGA Professional will be responsible for establishing and maintaining customer service standards related to lessons and club fittings, including maximizing sales and profitability and controlling expenses.
Greet and assist Customers according to Golfsmith’s high Customer Service standards.
Drive and sustain lesson bookings, club fittings and merchandise sales by setting high expectations, monitoring profitability and measuring positive results.
Meet or exceed sales goal objectives for lessons and club fittings.
Consistently deliver quality golf instruction within all lesson formats; individual lessons, group lessons and clinics.
Develop, design, recommend and implement instructional programs, customer clinics and other promotional activities as directed.
Assist students and customers with their purchase of golf equipment through the use of demo clubs and club fitting.
Perform club fittings to highest company standards; utilizing launch monitor technology and club fitting software to maximize all club category sales (drivers, irons, putters, wedges, fairway woods and hybrids).
Maintain thorough knowledge of products, services, merchandise promotions and advertising.
Consistently refine and improve teaching techniques and methods.
Promotes Golfsmith by participating in community events, PGA and other service organizations to promote and enhance Golfsmith’s standing in the business community.
Abide by the PGA Code of Ethics.
Attend in store management/ morning meetings, walks, and strategy sessions etc.
Maintain housekeeping standards i.e. all teaching and club fitting areas (V1 Interactive teaching software, training aids, fitting carts, launch monitors and overall cleanliness).
Sell equipment whether or not in a lesson.
Help the team and Drive sales.
Work with GM on scheduling for the academy and sales floor.
Assist GM with staff training as it relates to club fitting and golf equipment sales.
Work the sales floor when not teaching.
Maintaining proper student files.
Sell equipment whether or not in a lesson.

Required Skills
Expert in golf instruction with extensive knowledge in golf equipment and club fitting.
PGA Member ( Class A certification required )
Must remain a PGA Member in good standing while employed with Golfsmith.
Maintain a positive, guest-centric attitude by listening, understanding and responding to customer needs while being committed to exceptional customer service.
Communicate effectively and professionally with all associates and customers
Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to adapt to meet a wide range of customer needs, able to build rapport quickly.
Strong problem solving ability and analytical skills.
Energetic and enthusiastic.
Organized, able to prioritize.
Previous retail sales experience preferred
Required Experience
Four-year college degree or university program certificate, or 2-4 years of related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
