As the qualified Pharmacist, you will be providing prescription drugs and medications to the company's patients. This position often requires overseeing clinical, technical, and clerical activities relative to drug procurement, stocking, dispensary and patient oversight.
RPh and in good standing with the Texas State Board of pharmacy
Computer literate, with the some knowledge of Software, and the ability to input data, and complete incoming prescriptions on computer
Good motor dexterity and cognitive ability for effective typing and dispensing
Ability to think quickly in response to both customer requests and customer complaints
Ability to maintain sharp focus, be organized and meet objectives
Ability to take measurements, calculate figures and amounts and to double-check those figures
Ability to work well with others, and a team player
Our goal is to have a completely modern pharmacy, providing services to Physicians with specialties, cancer treatment, long term and assisted living facilities, as well as facilities providing hospice care, near the medical center area. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree and Texas Pharmacist License with experience; Our clients may include those that require Urgent/Emergency, and patients with Chronic Conditions. Since the pharmacy provides emergency medications, and medications to patients with chronic conditions, some pain medication background may be needed.
Must have the ability to manage staff/workflow in a fast-paced pharmacy. Hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00AM--4:00PM .Performs dispensing pharmaceutical care including patient consultation and supervisory duties pertaining to filling of prescriptions. Approves orders during filling process and oversees assigned subordinates. Assures optimum service to patient, physician or other authorized individuals, within federal and state regulations. Works as a team member in support of patients, providers, and ancillary staff to ensure appropriate, cost-effective drug utilization while maintaining and enhancing patient care.
