PHP Developer Deseret Digital Media (DDM) is the online division of Deseret Media Companies that manages,, ,, among others. The sites collectively reach over 5.5 million unique users and nearly 300 million page-views each month. DDM is currently seeking a PHP Developer to work on the KSL Marketplace team. The developer will be responsible for design, development, and maintenance of technology that interacts with various legacy web sites as well as the creation of new websites and digital products.

This position will report to the Director of Development of the KSL Marketplace team. The ideal candidate needs to have experience with high traffic web sites, excellent communication skills, and be willing and excited to learn new skills and technologies.

Required Skills
•3 or more years of current experience working with enterprise PHP web applications and PHP Frameworks (preferably Zend)
•Design and analysis of MySQL tables, queries, and stored procedures
•Experience developing and implementing enterprise applications based on LAMP Stack (preferably including MVC frameworks, Web Services, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and XML)
•Perform code development life cycle from design, create, review, test, and deployment
•Maintenance of existing enterprise web applications
•Primary responsibility is both front and back end development
•Ability to work independently in addition to collaborative work on large projects with team members, including users, administrators, designers, and other developers
•Excellent written and verbal communication
•Don't take yourself too seriously - I mean don't get us wrong, we work hard, but c'mon timelines and deliverables would bury us all if we didn't laugh a little now and then

Preferred Skills/Education
•Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodology and use of issue tracking (Pivotal Tracker or similar) and source repository (git or similar)
•Ability to administer web deployments on Linux with Apache
•Strong relational database experience using MySQL
•Must be performance driven, detail and results oriented
•Willingness to learn new and emerging technologies
•Must be a strong team and individual motivator with a positive attitude who enjoys working with others
•Goal-oriented person with high personal drive, integrity, and energy
•Bachelors Degree with IT or CS related emphasis
