Client is seeking a Senior PeopleSoft HRIS Analyst to provide functional support for all global HR applications including PeopleSoft HCM and other web-based technology solutions. Analyzes new features in existing applications. Identifies and recommends new HR technology solutions to improve business efficiency. Recognizes and resolves complex data integrity issues through oversight and auditing of global HR applications. Partners with internal customers to provide data analysis. Integrates process improvements to streamline global HR operations. Serves as subject matter expert for all global HR Technology solutions. Acts as liaison between HR and third party vendors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyzes, recommends and implements improvements involving the global HR Technology applications. Acts as subject matter expert to provide information for various projects and/or requests. Understands user needs of the HRMS applications. Provides insight of technical capabilities and limitations for HR to effectively manage expectations. Recommends and leads implementation of Company policy and software requirement changes by providing analysis of system capabilities, necessary programming solutions and accurately defined timelines.
Prepares and updates necessary implementation and configuration documentation. Creates user requirement documents, functional specifications and functional design documents for new system functionality or proposed changes to existing system functionality. Provides coordination and expertise to have technical resources design, develop, test, and implement configurable components and other changes in conjunction with the business. Configures system settings including tables, text and message catalog, and languages.
Develops and implements procedures and controls to ensure data integrity, control user access and ensure data security. Identifies and communicates data issues to the data owners for resolution. Ensures successful, reliable interfaces between HRMS systems and other systems (e.g. ADP, benefit vendors). Identifies interface requirements for data transfers between systems. Creates import/export templates or works with third party vendor to develop templates. Communicates effectively with developers and other technical professionals to create interface programs. Tests interfaces and troubleshoots issues. Administers user security for HRMS tools. Maintains security roles for various user groups, analyzing and assigning the necessary security required for each. Reviews security requests to ensure internal control requirements are maintained using knowledge of both system functionality and HR procedures. Responsible for protecting employee confidential data.
Serves as functional project lead for upgrades to the HRMS applications. Develops business requirements and reviews functionality of new releases to evaluate whether requirements will be met by the delivered system. Defines functional specifications for customization and works with client to ensure correct results. Develops and implements system testing of HRMS functionality for upgrades/ bundles and for internally developed changes/improvements. Utilizing a thorough knowledge of the system as well as the departments and functions that will be affected, creates and coordinates test scripts to ensure that interrelated data and processes are thoroughly tested. Ensures proper testing is completed so that customer needs are met with efficient, accurate and quality information.
Defines and evaluates HR business processes based on business requirements and best practices. Partners with internal and external customers to analyze workflow, recommend improvements, and implement integrated, consistent processes. Determines and implements technical solutions where appropriate. Conducts fit-gap analysis of HR technologies with current and proposed processes and makes recommendations for optimization. 10%
Provides tier 2 support for all HR Technology applications. Ensures all system functionality is operating accurately, timely and efficiently. Researches errors and liaises with client when advanced technical assistance is necessary. Escalates issues to the Manager – HR Technology or client support to ensure uninterrupted operation of any HR application. Resolves issues of various scopes where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors, exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Utilizes HRMS reporting tools to develop specialized HR reports. Determines data needs and how to capture data. Identifies trends and interprets and analyzes data. Works with the business to define reporting requirements and develop reports and/or data extracts as needed.
Develops and provides user training for HR applications, both as a result of upgrades and new functionality. Conducts user acceptance testing for new functionality or modifications to existing functionality. Utilizes various training methods including classroom, on-line training manuals, and one-on-one training with users as required. Acts as the in-house HRMS system consultant to the entire Company.
Researches new techniques in the development of systems and maintains knowledge of current trends in HR technology.
