More than a drug treatment facility, it is multi-licensed to facilitate healing for psychiatric issues as well as many types of addiction and chronic pain. Sierra Tucson is currently seeking a Physical Therapist to join the Medical department.|
The position requires candidates to assess patients with neuromusculoskeletal and psycho-emotional dysfunction through a process of screening, triage, examination, evaluation, referral, and intervention, coordination of care, education and prevention. Provide services that enhance patient recovery through functional restoration, pain reduction and increased mind-body awareness.
- Responsible for evaluating/assessing needs of referred patients and formulating treatment plans.
- Provides therapy services defined in treatment plans.
- Work cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and adjustors.
- May supervise physical therapy assistants, aides, and athletic trainers
State licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy with at least 4 years experience working with patients suffering from neuro-orthopedic injuries and pain syndromes; ability to work in a team approach in the treatment of trauma, eating disorders, pain management, and chemical dependencies.
Manual/manipulative therapy certification, strength and conditioning certification; excellent written and communication skills; training in Non-Violent Communication (NVC).
At least five years mindfulness meditation experience preferred.
Education, Experience, and Skills required:
Requires a masters degree and is certified as a physical therapist. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
State licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy
Applicants must be 21 years of age. Candidates must be able to maintain complete confidentiality in all patient/program matters, in accordance to facility policy.
